Refurbishment of
Pump-Stations
#8, 9 & 10
Sewer Pumpstations within the Emfuleni Municipal area had not been maintained over a long period. This hampered the delivery of sanitation services to both the public and private sector. The project addressed mechanical issues identified at 13 pumpstations, which included:
- Non working pumps,
- Missing or damaged valves
- Missing or damaged screens
- Non working Ventilators
- Absence of electric hoists
As technology continues to evolve,
the importance of multi-discipline collaboration
in mechanical engineering will only increase.
